Kanye West debuted his fashion line during Paris Fashion Week yesterday and the result was as cool, cutting edge and luxe as one would expect from the inimitable hip-hop visionary.

Named Dw, after his mother Donda West who passed away in 2007, the line offered up a collection of neutrally shaded tough girl chic ensembles, heavy on layering and texture.

West branded models with the line’s nameplate jewellery. They also wore zipped pants and black dresses with plunging rectangular necklines, while one of the most noted pieces in the spring-summer collection was a bulky backpack in fox fur.

Getting plenty of support from his fellow celebs, Kanye West made his fashion show debut by holding his Dw by Kanye West Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 show in Paris, France on Saturday night (October 1).

The “All of the Lights” hitmaker showed off his seemingly well-received line at the Lycee Henri IV venue, with Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ciara and Jared Leto among those observing from front row seats.
Clearly not as confident with his fashionable talents as he is with his music-making skills, West told reporters following the catwalk display, “I’m so scared, I’m so nervous.”

He continued, “The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing. That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.”

Singer Ciara had nothing but kind words for her pal after taking in the KW women’s wear presentation, as she said that Kanye “did a great job. I walked away from this show feeling like I would love to wear this line. There is so much in it that’s right up my alley. Especially since for me, it’s so cool to see someone come from our music world and do something like this. It’s really hard,” she said a backstage interview.”

Jay-Z and Kanye, who collectively call themselves “The Throne” and will drop an album called “Watch the Throne” on August 8, are reportedly engaged in some backstage drama as they prep for their upcoming tour together.

Insiders tell the New York Post that Kanye is pushing for blowout concerts with “next-level production” and an accompanying bank-busting price of $400k per show, while Jay-Z, who has already gotten a long-term advance from ticket-seller Live Nation that has to be repaid, has a much more conservative bottom line in mind.

“Jay-Z can’t deal with Kanye,” one source said. “Jay is a stone-cold businessman … But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars … He doesn’t care about costs.”

It’s gotten so bad that last week, the superstars performed on the same night at the same venue — and never took the stage together. “They didn’t even go out together after the show,” an attendee said.

“Jay-Z is fed up with West’s antics,” claimed yet another snitch. “He doesn’t even want to be around him.”

But during a visit to a New York radio station Monday morning, Jay-Z called Kanye his “brother” and said the story is overblown:

“Yes, we get on each other’s nerves, but that’s part of pushing each other. We push each other. The people who have a problem with Kanye or myself are the people that are complacent in life. People don’t like to be pushed. It’s, like, annoying. It’s a thing when people are pushing you to be greater, and we push each other to be greater. So of course there are times when we’re in the studio, we’re yelling, but that’s about it.”



Word on the street is that the curvy reality star is expecting her first child following a summer of secret sex romps with hip-hopster Kanye West.

“Kim has been seeing Kanye off and on for years now. But this summer, they five or six times. Kanye told her that he didn’t want anything serious, but Kim really likes him.”.

Kim has been romantically-linked to Kanye numerous times since 2008, when the two met on a Complex Magazine photoshoot. Her at times close friendship with Yeezy was reportedly a regular source of consternation between Kim and then beau Reggie Bush. Now MediaTakeout’s snoop believes Kardashian’s most recent fling with the “Flashing Lights” hitmaker may have left her with a swollen belly.

According to the insider, Kim, 30, suspects that she is pregnant and has been blowing up Ye’s Blackberry for a shoulder to cry on as she decides how to proceed. Said informant reportedly overheard the conversation between Kanye and Kim with their own ears.

“Kim is being very secretive about everything. She calls almost non-stop and wants to know what she should do.”

Kanye West debuted his much talked about mini-movie “Runaway” co-starring supermodel Selia Ebanks today.
The 35 min clip (which was also directed by the hip hop star), features music from the upcoming album and tells the story of a mortal that falls in love with a fallen Phoenix.
