Jay-Z and Kanye, who collectively call themselves “The Throne” and will drop an album called “Watch the Throne” on August 8, are reportedly engaged in some backstage drama as they prep for their upcoming tour together.

Insiders tell the New York Post that Kanye is pushing for blowout concerts with “next-level production” and an accompanying bank-busting price of $400k per show, while Jay-Z, who has already gotten a long-term advance from ticket-seller Live Nation that has to be repaid, has a much more conservative bottom line in mind.

“Jay-Z can’t deal with Kanye,” one source said. “Jay is a stone-cold businessman … But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars … He doesn’t care about costs.”

It’s gotten so bad that last week, the superstars performed on the same night at the same venue — and never took the stage together. “They didn’t even go out together after the show,” an attendee said.

“Jay-Z is fed up with West’s antics,” claimed yet another snitch. “He doesn’t even want to be around him.”

But during a visit to a New York radio station Monday morning, Jay-Z called Kanye his “brother” and said the story is overblown:

“Yes, we get on each other’s nerves, but that’s part of pushing each other. We push each other. The people who have a problem with Kanye or myself are the people that are complacent in life. People don’t like to be pushed. It’s, like, annoying. It’s a thing when people are pushing you to be greater, and we push each other to be greater. So of course there are times when we’re in the studio, we’re yelling, but that’s about it.”

Just a few months ago after she got assaulted by pop star Kelly Khumalo at a hair salon , the queen of bling got her ass whooped again last week as she was making her way through a supermarket in woodmead.

According to reports, she bumped into Nelly Sisilana-Mthembu (the woman she accused of sleeping with ex-husband Mandla some months ago) and Nelly went Kung-fu on her , pulled K’s by her weave, dragged her around and punched her in the face several times in front of visibly shocked onlookers!!!

khanyi’s has opened a case of assault against Nelly and is said to be fearing for life as Nelly told her she’s not done with her…

Alicia Keys stopped by The TODAY Show Wednesday to promote her new single and subsequent album and chatty hostess Kathie Lee and Hoda quickly turned to Lil Mama’s WTF stage crashing at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

“We Can Appreciate Her Being Overwhelmed & Inspired, But We Would’ve Preferred She Did It From Her Seat,” the multiplatinum-selling singer said.

In an interview with MTV News on Tuesday, Mama claimed an “adrenaline rush” caused her to onstage uninvited during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance of “Empire State of Mind.” The Brooklyn native says she never intended to disrupt the show.

“I’m sitting in my seat two rows away from the stage, and Jay-Z is walking through this tunnel and just, like, this adrenaline rush is pumping ,” Lil Mama explained to MTV News on Tuesday. “He started , and Alicia Keys is going, ‘The big lights will inspire you,’ and really, I got emotional. Yeah, New York! Jay! I started to feel him, and I started to feel myself. I just felt the energy, and I got up and started walking to the stage. I was just rooting him on as a champion. Bigging up my borough, bigging up my brother.”

The America’s Best Dance Crew judge has since apologized, and insists she didn’t realize Hov and A. Keys may not have appreciated her surprise appearance.

“If in any way Jay-Z or Alicia Keys feels offended, I want to apologize to both of you,” she told MTV News. “I actually would love to have a one-on-one, because I actually felt like I was being felt . I felt like there was a bond. I didn’t get a chance to hear what was coming out of mouth. I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. I was just feeling it, and it happened at a moment which happened to be the VMAs, so it was ‘wow.’”

“I wanted to support Jay, I wanted to be a supporter,” she added. “I wanted to stand up with him and tell him he was doing it.”

Ciara’s new “haircut” has landed the singer in a lot of trouble with her ex-stylist.

Shirlena Allen insists the Atlanta-born hitmaker’s new hairdo is all thanks to a wig she has yet to return to her.

In a furious email plastered all over the net , Allen spits, “The wig used and work (done) on the photo shoot, she (Ciara) doesn’t even want to pay me for it. She’s a year behind all of it. I ask for the wig back a year ago, she says she cant find it (sic).”

Ciara posted her new look on her Twitter.com page earlier this month, and Allen is demanding credit for creating the look.

The stylista also complains that she is still awaiting payment for her work on the singer’s image a year ago.

She adds, “We spent hours trying to find this child a look and she still bites… Now she looks like a knock off.”

Actress Nia Long — a veteran of Black Hollywood — has slammed pop stars and rap acts who try to launch film careers – insisting they should stick to what they know.

“I didn’t see ‘Obsessed,’ so I can’t comment, but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate?’ When you see certain people – we won’t name names – they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes,’” the former Love Jones star replied curtly in the August issue of Britain’s Pride Magazine.

She also goes on to say, “If you’re a singer not an actress, you should sing. If you’re a rapper, you should rap,” “If you take time to develop your craft, God bless you. Jamie Foxx is an example of both .”

Nia further added, “If you were able to take all the Black actresses and the choices we’ve made collectively, it’s a pure reflection of what you see on film. People need to work. But the content? The opportunities for Black actresses are more widespread today, but the quality has suffered.”

Nas says he isn’t half the man his soon-to-be ex thinks he is — at least financially.

Nas has hit back at estranged wife Kelis demands for financial support, insisting his monthly salary is no where near as high as the singer thinks it is.

The pregnant “Milkshake” hitmaker filed for divorce in April, and recently declared she was desperately seeking money from her ex to help cover her mounting medical bills and other expenses associated with the pending arrival of the couple’s son.

In her court papers, Kelis alleged Nas pocketed $11 million from his 2006 album deal with Def Jam Records, but Nas claims he made just $4 million, stating, “I did not receive even half that amount.”

Game is continuing to lyrically come for Jay-Z while overseas, calling the veteran rapper out on his age and wife, Beyonce.

The rapper got hard  on Jay-Z during a recent concert in Spain. The profanity is relentless . During his rap verse he essentially calls Beyonce a whore and claims she’s slept with all the players on the Dallas Mavericks.

Game originally told fans that he would let Jay’s controversial rhyme, in which he spoke the west coast MC’s name, slide. He apparently decided to go back on his word, however, during a recent concert in France.

“F*ck Jay-Z!” he encouraged the crowd to say. “Old ass n*gga!”

Game then continued to provoke Jay in what now seems to be an unrequited beef while on-stage in Spain.

“I know y’all been hearing about the controversy between with me and Jay-Z, right,”
Game asked the Spanish crowd. “So I’ma start it off like this, f*ck Jay-Z! That’s how Pac felt. That’s how Nas felt at one time and that’s how I feel…This ain’t about B/This ain’t about Destiny…You got a bad b*tch, word, ain’t no p*ssy like hers/Just ask the Mavericks, Cowboys and the Spurs/I mean, my b*tch don’t sling p*ssy like that/My b*tch sling p*ssy on a n*gga from the back, back, back/Black Wall Street, that’s the

Despite his arguably disrespectful words to Jay’s wife, the rapper has yet to respond.
