The-Dream covers the latest issue of Honey Magazine. In the cover story, he talks about fame, his retirement, and life with Christina Milian and daughter Violet.
On Being An Artist Or Writer: “I would probably rather write. It would be at my pace. It would be the more creative things I would do, because you have to understand, there’s a fan base for the type of music I make. But the same people that listen to ‘Purple Kisses,’ ‘Falsetto,’ and ‘Rocking That,’ most of them have no idea that I wrote ‘Umbrella,’ because of me giving up those records. I make that sacrifice.”
On Marriage To Christina: “Still learning. I’m definitely way more mature in this relationship. I’m probably just mature overall because my grandfather raised me. I probably should be more nonchalant. I’m in a place where everything is serious no matter what it is and she with me like, ‘This guy’s crazy.’ Of course I make sense at the end of the day because I’ll explain . As far as money — you got to be careful how you’re spending. Are you thinking about 10 years from now? It’s certain things that become meaningful in a relationship that’s not that real when you’re just boyfriend and girlfriend. The things I think about are a little bit different and those are things she’s learning from me and what I have to do is be more patient.”
Gracing the cover of the July issue of Elle, Rihanna muses on fashion and has a few things to say about glamorous, often unattainable – ideals of designers.
“I respect designers who aren’t afraid to go outside the box,” she says.
“I went to a Jean Paul Gaultier show, and I saw girls who are thicker than me, beautiful and voluptuous and different ethnicities. That made me so excited,” the singer continued. “I thought, Okay, I can work that, for sure.”
Of course, the beauty is leaving her mark on couture, and not just with the shocking ensembles she wears live. She’s become a high-end icon as well.
“There are definitely fewer black women in the high-fashion industry. One of the things I respected most about Gucci was that they did a print campaign with me.”
“I’m a black girl on a fashion spread for Gucci. That was a big deal.”

Whitney Houston returns to the music scene after a six-year hiatus with the release of her comeback album I Look to You, her sixth full-length studio LP. So far, the album is getting mostly strong reviews from critics, and now the legendary singer is opening about teaming up with her Arista Records mentor Clive Davis once again on the pages of the October issue of Ebony Magazine.
“I shed a lot of stuff, a lot of unnecessary weight in the last three or four years. I left a lot of old luggage behind, and when I did, the blessings just started pouring on me, and the light in my spirit started to lift again,” Whitney tells the magazine. “I’m really humbled, and I thank God that people love me, but I thank God that God loves me. I thank Him for chastening my heart, for never letting go. What I did sometimes … I went off and did my thing, but He never let me go.”
Whitney On Her Retreat From The Public Eye: “I was just ready to lay back and raise my daughter and just watch her grow and nurture her. And my mother’s getting older. I wanted to spend more time with my mom most of my 20s and 30s, was dealing with making records and traveling the world and being this thing — icon, you know — whatever this has turned into.”
Whitney On Her Relationship With Daughter Bobbi Kristina, 16: “She and I are not only mother and daughter, but we’re good friends. I want her to trust me, to be able to trust in me, to know that I’m not going nowhere. If she knows that I’m there for her, she can depend on me. I’m the dependable one; she can depend on her mommy.”
Beyonce is on the Cover on Sel Magazine and as usual she looks breathtaking!!!
The Singer also revealed why she’s lucky to have started in the showbiz so young:
“I’m very lucky to have worked young,” she says. “I set myself up so now I can have whatever time I need to focus on myself and my life. When I have a child, I’ll be able to decide, OK, I’m going to do a movie for three months and they can come with me. It’s a really wonderful place to be.”
