Beyonce Knowles has surprised her fans by revealing that she thinks of herself as a feminist.

The UK’s Daily Mirror interviewed the superstar just before she took her hiatus from music and she discussed her future plans as well as the biggest challenge in her life.  She also reveals that she believes female friends are very important and she would love to have kids one day.   Check out a few excepts.

On Beauty
‘I think a beautiful woman is someone who is confident but not competitive with other women – someone who is warm to everyone. Because my mother told me ever since I can remember that beauty is from within, that looks will fade, I have always been aware that you have to have something deeper to be really beautiful.

On Why She Doesn’t Need Sasha Fierce
I don’t need Sasha so much any more because these days I know who I am. It takes time to figure out who you are and I am still discovering different things about myself – as I am exposed to different experiences I think, “Oh, I like this, I didn’t know I liked this.” That’s the journey of life that is so exciting. More and more I know who I am, I know what I like, I know what I want and that makes me feel so free. I don’t need to hide any more.

On Being A Feminist
I think I am a feminist in a way. It’s not something I consciously decided I was going to be; perhaps it’s because I grew up in a singing group with other women, and that was so helpful to me. It kept me out of so much trouble and out of bad relationships. My friendships with my girls are just so much a part of me that there are things I am never going to do that would upset that bond. I never want to betray that friendship because I love being a woman and I love being a friend to other women.

‘I think we learn a lot from our female friends – female friendship is very, very important. It’s good to support each other and I do try to put that message in my music,

On her biggest challenge
Probably the biggest challenge in my life is time – making sure I have time to be a wife, to be a singer, to be a songwriter, to be an actor and still have time for my clothing line and now for my perfume. I am like any other woman who has a child, who has a husband, who has a job. I think it’s the hardest thing about being a woman because we have so many responsibilities.

Destiny’s Child will not be reuniting, Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles has said.

There had been speculation online that Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who went their own ways in 2006, would be performing together once again but manager Matthew quashed the rumours.

“Contrary to rumours online of a Destiny’s Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album – the rumours are false,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

We still have hope for a reunion even if it happens in 10 years time!!!

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were spotted enjoying a night out in London, England on Tuesday

The always-stylish pair were all smiles after grabbing up a tasty meal at Mr Chow’s restaurant in Knightsbridge – sharing conversation with fellow patrons as they headed out to an awaiting car.
The trip to London follows a romantic trip to Paris, as Beyonce and Jay were among the stars on-hand for this past weekend’s French Open Men’s Final.

Another day , another Beyonce lawsuit!!!

Recent court documents show that a certain ‘Philip Markowitz’ filed a lawsuit seeking $25,000 ( recently in Los Angeles against Beyonce, her production coordinator Dina Ciccotello and a liability company.

Markowitz is a neighbour in the Los Angelos community where Beyonce recorded her latest music video for ‘Why Dont You Love Me’. He says the singer and her crew violated his privacy on the morning of March 26th and didn’t leave until 11 p.m.

He has also complained about his driveway being repeatedly blocked, as well as the loud disturbances and damages that were inflicted.

Plain ridiculous!!!

US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle . put on their Wednesday’s best to welcome Mexican President Felipe Calderon and his wife, Margarita Zavala to the White House’s second State Dinner.

Celebs like Beyonce (who performed ), Whoopi Goldberg, Eva Longoria Parker, Olympic gold medalist Shani Davis, and many others were all in attendance as well.
