Seems like Pop Tart kelly khumalo still haven’t got over of her break-up with Prosper Mkwaiwa.
Khumalo says her former fiancé and heart-throb Mkwaiwa is an irredeemable playboy who left her broken-hearted.
She told Sowetan that Mkwaiwa’s infidelity – she dumped him for cheating on her with an 18-year-old who worked at his nightclub in Witbank – left her devastated and hurt.
But now she finds solace in God, who she turned to for comfort after the break-up.
The couple had been going out for three-and-a-half years before they announced their engagement in 2007. Last year, when she discovered he was cheating on her, Khumalo moved out of their Rosebank house to stay in Bryanston.
But Khumalo says though they work together, there will never be anything between them “because Prosper is a playboy”.
Khumalo, who burst into the limelight during the Cruz gospel concert in 2003, where she wowed the crowd with the gospel song UJes’ uphakeme, says her relationship with Mkwaiwa was a huge mistake.
“He broke my virginity and then hurt me. I do not think I will ever love again. It will never be easy for me to trust men.”
Mkwaiwa says he still cares a lot about Khumalo.
“I am sorry that she feels this way,” he said yesterday.
