She’s back! On Thursday, Whitney Houston released the first single off of her eagerly-awaited comeback LP, I Look To You.

After more than a decade of drug abuse and scandal, the powerhouse sings about recovery and redemption on the ballad “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” Obviously, years of hitting the crack pipe has added a bit of raspiness to Whitney’s once flawless voice. Nevertheless, we love the lyrics and that’s enough to get a thumbs up from us.
