Michael’s big brother Jermaine Jackson read a statement to the media during a press conference at Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles this evening. Jeremaine told the press that a team of doctors at the medical center tried to resuscitate the King of Pop for more than an hour before he was pronounced dead.

He continued: “The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother. As did paramedics who transported him to the hospital.”
“Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 p.m., a team of doctors, including emergency phsyicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of one hour and they were unsuccessful.”

Michael Jackson died Thursday afternoon at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 50 years old.
“I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on ‘The Wiz’ and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the ’80s. To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”
While news of Michael Jackson‘s death came as a shock to many, inside sources have revealed that the King of Pop “had doctors visiting him daily.”
Michael went into cardiac arrest Thursday afternoon and was rushed to UCLA Medical Center around 1pm. His personal physician was with him at the time and accompanied him to the hospital.
At approximately 1:14pm when he arrived at the hospital, doctors and emergency personnel performed CPR and tried to resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful. He was announced dead at 2:26pm.
The cause of his death is still unknown, but an autopsy is scheduled for this coming Friday afternoon. Michael was transferred from UCLA Medical Center to the coroner’s office via a Los Angeles Sheriff’s helicopter shortly after 6pm.
Although Michael had his comeback tour scheduled for this summer, he spent most of his time in seclusion with his three children.
“The children are always home. They are home schooled. Michael is the only one that leaves the house when he needs to go somewhere,” the source reveals.
“His house is eco-friendly, there are no carpets because he is highly allergic,” adding that most of the house has “wooden floors.” The source also tells that reports of the house being filled with children’s statues “are false.”
